Yes, you can take a pregnancy test while on your period especially when you miss your period.

Missing period indicates, you are supposed to get pregnant very soon!

Aside from this sing, you will experience normal or heavy implantation bleeding.

However, we miss our period due to many health disorders or conditions. Therefore, you should come to know the difference between  implantation bleeding and period.

On the other hand, missed period is still a major factor which you can not overlook at all.

But what about the irregular menstrual cycle?

According to American pregnancy, USA national health organization confirmed that irregular menstrual cycle is somewhat misleading.

“If you’re in your childbearing years and a week or more has passed without the start of an expected menstrual cycle, you might be pregnant. However, this symptom can be misleading if you have an irregular menstrual cycle”

So, how to take a pregnancy test while on your period?

My first tip is to run a daily pregnancy test until you see the positive result comes out. During the timeline, either you will get it positive or negative, that’s it.

The basic home pregnancy test with onion and urine. But we recommend some clinically certified kits that tells you the test line darker then control line pregnancy test

While testing urine, the blood flow might be heavy. So, it will mix with urine, but don’t worry it won’t affect the result.

If you might think the result is negative but still you are pregnant then you should take tests from around 8 DPO (days past from the ovulation period) to 20 DPO.

Here, you will get a Big FAT Positive result.

On the other hand, you will try out testing on every 2 days during pregnancy and this will end up during late period. Here you must visit your DOC.

Can you take a pregnancy test while on your period and it be accurate

Yes, you can take a pregnancy test during period and it will come out accurate. 25% USA pregnant women went through of it. Well, it depends on mostly whether you have check out various conditions (normal and abnormal) or not. Lets, talk about some signs

Bleeding during period is a sign of pregnancy, but it has many factors to tell about.

First off, the heavy implantation bleeding then BFP or positive test result have direction relationship on the way to become a mother.

Because it happens during the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining.

Interestingly, Twin mother expects more bleeding because twins cause more implantation bleeding.

The main reason that impacts on the result is Human Chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) levels found in your urine.

  • If the HCG level is less than 5 ml, the woman will not be considered pregnant.
  • If the HCG level is higher than 25 ml, it is confirmed that the woman is pregnant.

So a dark line shows up and tells you are pregnant. In short, dark lines on pregnancy tests mean high HCG. High HCG means you are passing weeks after weeks on pregnancy timeline.

Now, I’m going to tell you some confusing conditions during period. Yeast infection late period negative pregnancy test is an example of heavy bleeding but false BFP.

BFP but no heavy implantation bleeding, does it exist?

Yes, it may occur in some conditions.

lets explain it

Implantation often occurs as mild or lighter, here you may have a good chance for a negative test result.

In that case, the bleeding will light in color and the period will be normal.

But sometimes, a mother experience no or light bleeding during pregnancy but still she is pregnant because the period is missed or delayed.

In that case, you must check out the following conditions:

  • backaches on the lower back
  • Breast tenderness
  • Constant headaches
  • mild or strong cramping
  • mild or strong nausea
